Blackberry NETWORK ADDITlONS

In addition to being able to access a wealth of applications from BlackBerry App World, most networks will also include access to.
usually in the form of a shortcut, their own apps and services.
These network-specific items usually offer access to music, news and other services and they provide a  a complementary role to what's already on the device rather than trying to compete against existing apps.
The operators themselves also usually offer bolt-ons to the main contract to ensure users can get the most out of the BlackBerrys without breaking the bank.

O2

Historically, 02 has been synonymous with the iPhone and we all know about the app store connected to that particular device. But 02 isn't neglecting Blackberry users either, serving up a range of shortcuts for users, including Facebook, MySpace, Flickr and Windows Live Messenger.

ORANGE

Orange is more than just a mobile network that helps us make calls, text and surf the web, it's also dipped its toes in the worlds of cinema and music. And users can now get speedy access to such services and information right from their Blackberry thanks to the Orange Application Shop.

The Orange downloads store also serves up ring tones, pictures, games and the like.

T-MOBILE

T-Mobile offers existing customers the chance to top up and deal with billing and upgrades through its online shop.

VODAFONE

Take the Storm2 as a case in point. Out-of-the-box, the handset comes bundled with Vodafone-emblazoned shortcuts for the web and music. On the former, you'll find yourself headed straight towards the Vodafone Live home page, offering further shortcuts to other services. The latter, takes you straight to Vodafone Music, where you can pay for and download tunes straight to your device.

Users can also download additional apps and add-ons from the online Vodafone portal via a standard web browser.
