Calendar in Status Bar

Here's an app that does exactly what its name suggests. So, if  you are keen to have the date displayed on your status bar.then you will probably admire this straightforward app - which also enables you to launch another specified application from the calendar icon.

There is one fairly obvious problem  with the Calendar in Status Bar application, though it is by no means a deal-breaker, and that is the resolution of the calendar icon.

On the better quality Android handset screens the icon is simply not clear enough, looking blurry and indistinct and considering its prominence that's a bit of a shame.

Another problem that's frequently mentioned in the user feedback section concerns the fact that the date doesn't always change quite as promptly as you might want it to, although this was not ar issue that we ran in to.

Having said that, it's indisputably a useful little application and it has been warmly received by people who are keen to get the date at a glance and you can also customize the date icons to match up to your theme.
