Pastebot - iphone 4

Pastebot

£2.39/$3.99 Copy St paste is transformed

At its most prosaic, Postebot is a clipboard manager for your iPhone, But rather than just being able to copy and then paste a single snippet of text or a picture, Postebot enables you to save an unlimited number of these snippets, optionally organised into folders.

It's a great way to maintain a list of regularly used assets, such as different email signatures or notes you write frequently.

The impressive thing, though, is that it can sync with your Mac.

Copy a snippet of text on your Mac and it's pushed to Postebot, and vice versa. It's a really handy way, for example, of pushing large chunks of text to the iPhone to be pasted into other documents. We've even used it as a way of writing lots of text on a comfortable full-sized physical Mac keyboard, ready to be pasted into an iPhone app, without having to peck away at its small on-screen keyboard.

You can even copy images straight from the Mac's Finder.

Sadly, there's no option for syncing with Windows at the moment.

You can apply filters to images, and text can have useful transformations applied, such as to convert to upper case, or to wrap in HTML tags.

It's a great productivity booster, and there are plans to enable it to run in the background with a little iOS 4 workaround.
