Root Explorer (File Manager)

No-nonsense file management tool that enables you get deep into your phone's workings.

Having access and control over your files is a major thing for some people in the Android community, and Root Explorer (File Manager) offers up a powerful tool. Billing itself as the 'ultimate file manage' for root users' the app does indeed allow access to the whole of Android's file system including the data folder.

Although it is by no means a pretty application, it is a triumph of features over form, with an SQLite database viewer and text editor. Other functions include allowing you to create and extract zip files, execute scripts and send files.

It also gives you the power to get rid of some of the horrible bloat ware that is unfortunate to ship with certain manufacturers' handsets. The Root Explorer (File Manager)
application that has been well received by the community of root users and, although not particularly a must-have for the casual user, is a key tool for the people that are keen to lift up the bonnets of their phone's OS, have a peek inside and maybe try fiddling with a few wires.
