Remember how much fun you had playing Snap! as a child? You may not have known it at the time but you were actually learning and helping your brain to remember things that were the same. Memory Match takes that concept and plonks it onto the iPhone.
In addition to providing adults with a way of keeping their little grey cells alive and kicking, this app also delivers a great way of keeping children busy and, hopefully, quiet.
The app looks really simple but the game is actually quite difficult as each time you press an icon to reveal the character underneath you have to memorise the image and its position, unless you've successfully matched a pair, so that next time you find its partner you know which icon matches it.
Although be warned, when you flip the icons around to reveal the animal characters, it does have an associated tone, which can be annoying so we'd advise turning the sound off using the settings option.
There's a competitive element too as you have to try and get the highest score in the shortest amount of time possible And most people love a challenge.
