Android and iOS are very similar in lots of ways. They both like to manage your use of apps and don't like you to have to worry about that side of things yourself. But unlike iOS, Android enables you to quit an app when necessary. Android tends to be a bit more troublesome in this area - and that's where Advanced Task Killer comes in.

In an ideal world every Android app would be a finely honed piece of code. In the real world though, some of
the apps really are dross and, well, you just need to kill them to get your phone back. Advanced Task Killer can force quit those apps that are causing trouble.

Advanced Task Killer can also help to save your phone's battery life. Tap the apo on and it will give you a list of the applications running. We found that while it killed most of the apps we wanted it to, there were occasional ones that were a bit more resistant, so we can't say it will definitively solve all your problems.

It can be configured to run in the background on your phone all the time, while there's also the ability to change what a long press does on your phone. While it's set to pop-up menu as default, you could have the action bring up details about an app among other features.
