£1.79/$2.99 This point-and-click romp follows Robert, raised in the Australian outback, who years later is kidnapped but manages to escape -beginning his epic adventure. It's familiar Monkey Island-style fare with Rob and his sidekick solving puzzles by talking to people, pressing buttons, collecting items and so on. In its day it was pretty sophisticated stuff, and even now proves to be enjoyable. The voice acting, it must be said, is a bit poor. The clunky delivery is irritating and Joey is just plain annoying. This, though, is not a deal-breaker, and Beneath a Steel Sky should appeal to a broad spectrum.
