blackberry with FACEBOOK, MYSPACEJ & FLICKR ?

It's no secret that we are social animals. The first land line was invented to allow us to communicate when not in the same room and mobile phones have evolved that mission over the years.

Then along came the internet and email, helping us keep in contact through another medium and now we have social networking.

Whether you're a fan or a non-believer, the fact is social networking has transformed the way we communicate with our friends, family and work colleagues. The ability to tell the world what we're doing right now or who we've just seen going into a cinema with someone when they're meant to be dating someone else is magical. But now we can get the same experience, immediately, when we're not sat in front of our desktop PC.

Facebook on Blackberry is designed to help you share those "Guess what?" moments wherever you are. it uses the same, familiar look and feel you're used to and helps you stay abreast of what your friends are up to, through status updates and wall posts. You can also receive instant notifications that something has happened right on your device's home screen.

You can also integrate your Facebook lists with the contacts book in your BlackBerry, meaning the caller ID will become nicer to look at, or not as the case may be!

Keeping people updated with what you're doing, how you're feeling and your latest photo uploads is just a click away. It really is that simple.

All you need to do to prime your Blackberry to use Facebook is download the client from www.blackberry.com/facebook, or follow the preinstalled link on your device in Applications or the Applications Center on the Storm. You can also download the application via your desktop or from Blackberry App World. You then just need to define which notifications you want to receive on your BlackBerry.

Once you've done that you're ready to start using Facebook on the go. Simply tap the Facebook icon and enter your login details and you're away

Of course, you need to ensure you have a data plan from your mobile operator, a Blackberry with 64MB of memory and the right amount of available smartphone memory and version 4,2 or later of the Blackberry Device Software.

MySpace is another popular social networking service and still holds a valid place in the hearts of many people.

Back in 2006, MySpace was crowned king of the social networking sites in the US, its throne only challenged by Facebook in early 2008. But, in the face of new social networking contenders like Facebook and Twitter, MySpace has remained strong and is still here to tell the tale, boasting more than 100 million users.

The site has evolved over the years, from a forum for breakthrough music artists to a more immediate forum where users can share their thoughts and feelings with the world through online status updates as well as using blogs and email to keep in contact with people in their network.

MySpace for BlackBerry takes the concept that people know and love on the desktop and transports it to where it matters most: the palm of your hand. The free service allows users to share key experiences and events as and when they happen directly from their BlackBerry. Users can send and receive MySpace email, update their statuses, add comments, post photos and more.

You can download MySpace for BlackBerry directly from your device by visiting www.blackberry.com/myspace, from your desktop computer or through the BlackBerry App World.

To ensure you can get push-based MySpace mail and friend requests sent to you, you'll need to ensure you're logged into MySpace using an email address that's associated with your BlackBerry.

You can also get all the benefits of Flickr right on your BlackBerry device thanks to Flickr for BlackBerry. Take a picture on your device and upload it right there and then rather than having to wait until you can find a computer, or you can remember.

This handy Flickr uploader offers users the same features and functionality they're used to from the full version of the photo sharing service. Posting a snap takes just a few clicks and users can also geo-tag their images if they're using a BlackBerry with GPS support.

To take advantage of Flickr on the go, you just need a Flickr account, to have downloaded the app and be using a handset with a data service plan and BlackBerry Device software version 4.2 or above.
