£2.99/$4.99 This retooling of a game that debuted on PC in 1996 features visuals by Watchmen artist Dave Gibbons, a score by Barrington Pheloung, and a script that includes humour and pathos in equal measure. As such, it feels like the result of ramming Inspector Morse, Midsomer Murders and some comic books into a blender, ending up with an unlikely yet thoroughly palatable adventure smoothie. That's what it feels like. What it plays like, however, is a precursor to the Professor Lay ton games on Nintendo DS, but without the brain-bending puzzles. As a result, it's less taxing but every bit as engrossing. Excellent stuff !
