Free The easiest way to share stuffSharing contact details and media with other phone users is often a trial, involving emails, text messages or even hooking up via Bluetooth. Free Android app Bump greatly simplifies this process, allowing you to share content simply by touching your phone against another. While it may seem like magic, it's a process of one app speaking to another.
For Bump to work, both users need to have the app installed. However, Bump is compatible with different devices and even operating systems, so it's even possible to share files between an Android phone and an iPhone.
Once installed, you can quickly and simply choose which content you want to share, including contact details, photos and even apps. We found Bump to be a great method for snapping photos wi:h friends, with an exchange time of roughly five seconds per photo. However, it did eat through our 3G connection.
Bump is undeniably a great idea and a time saver, but it didn't work all of the time. Connection drops out a little too easily, and occasionally we 'Bump'd' phones, only to find that nothing was transferred. Still, even with this niggle, this app is the quickest method we've found for transferring data.
