Compared to Safari, it's like your iPhone has had a processor upgrade, especially over 3G, EDGE or GPRS. You'll be amazed how fast pages load, but sacrifices have been made. There's one level of zoom and all text is in the same font. Scrolling is also an issue - you never quite know where you're going to end up.
Opera achieves its speed by routing all traffic via servers in Norway. Unfortunately, it means that sites detect your login as coming from somewhere that's not your location. Facebook, for example, doesn't like this.
