Plume - android Communication

A third party Twitter app that comes armed with enough features to satisfy the dedicated Tweeter.

You probably won't recognise it from the name, but the app formerly known as Toiteur, is a third party Twitter app giving you alternative access to the micro-blogging site. Offering a similar experience to the official Twitter app for Android, key tweeting features such as news feeds, @mentions, refresh and messages are broken down into a series of columns across separate screens.

When you are ready to tweet, hit the 'more' button to be directed to the tweet screen which includes dedicated hyper link, hashtag and @ buttons to make tweeting quicker.

Support forTwitpic, Plixi and yFrog means you can upload pictures which can be previewed in tweets and you also have the option to also add geotagging.

Like Tweetdeck however, when refreshing the news feed you will still need to scroll up the screen to view the most current tweets. There is no dedicated button to tweet straight from the news feed screen which the official Twitter app does offer, but it does appear to pick up @ mentions tweets a lot more effectively, which is a bonus Minor gripes aside, th s is certainly a vibrant and stylish looking Twitter app that offers a vast array cf features to keep the most demanding micro-bloggers happy.
