Initially looks daunting, but is actually extremely simple to use and useful when out and about.

Free  Find the best network connection

Whether you are searching for the best connection while out and about, or want to know if you've got the best signal on your home network, Wifi Analyser should be able to help in both departments. Broken into five data reading sections, you'll be able to monitor signal strength from your wireless router against other Wi Fi channels and against time, plus see channel performance, information about access points in range, and view signal strength for networks you are currently connected to.

While information displayed can initially look a little daunting, the interface is actually extremely simple to use. For instance, the signal meter incorporates a gauge that beeps accordingly to indicate just how strong a signal you're picking up is.There is also useful data to help identify signal drops in areas around the house and performance of your Wi-Fi connection is simply illustrated.

Some of the data may not be entirely relevant to what you need to knew, but it is relatively simple to decipher what is. Additionally, if you download the additional Wi-Fi Connector app, you can search for Wi-Fi connections from within the app and compare signal strength which should come in handy when surrounded by Wi-Fi hotspots.
