Yahoo! Mail

Essential if the thought of being separated from your inbox is just unbearable. Sleek interface too.
Free One for the email Junkie

If you can't bear to be away from your emails for even a few minutes, Yahoo! Mail is one of the few ways on the Android Market to get access to them straight from your mobile phone. You can expect functions that are similar to that found on the desktop version, with access to multiple accounts and all standard features like email search intact. The inclusion of Smart Folders also means you can pack away photos, email from contacts and other files in their own dedicated folders.

As is the case with other Yahoo! Android apps, there's integration with Yahoo Messenger letting you jump into an IM conversation if you prefer more real-time interaction.

Push notifications will let you knew when email has landed in the inbox, while another notable addition is the ability to preview photographs that are attached to messages or in a gallery.

Compared to rival email clients such as Gmail, Yahoo! Mail certainly offers a much sleeker interface experience that should be fitting on higher resolution screens. While Gmail may appear to offer more variety in terms of email organisation, Yahoo! Mail is a speedy operator which is perhaps what matters most to those who always like to be in constant touch with their emails.
