Adobe Reader

Free Basic PDF-reading on the move

For all your PDF-reading needs on the go, Adobe finally launches its made-for-mobile Android application. Ideal for high quality PDF viewing, Adobe Reader supports multi-touch gestures enabling you to pinch-zoom your way around documents. You can see PDF documents recently viewed, downloaded and those presently saved on any attached SD card. Ore special feature added for the mobile edition is ''eflow', which ensures certain PDF files sit well on a mobile phone screen to make them easier to read. There have been a few PDF readers on the Android Market prior to Adobe Reader, offering more in the way of features. For example, ezPDF Reader is a paid-for app that lets you select text and play embedded video and audio, while RepliGo Reader lets you annotate, adding highlights and freehand drawings.

Other than providing a good viewing experience and the 'reflow' feature, the ability to search for text within a document, or adding notes to documents, would be desirable feature additions.

Adobe Reader does its primary job admirably, aid if that's all you're looking for, you'll be happy.

However, if you are looking for a little more interactivity with your PDF documents, there are other, better alternatives currently available to download from the Android Market.
