TweetDeck - android Communication

Say what you've got to say to tho world in 140 characters or fewer

A great way of piping your Twitter, Face book, Buzz and Foursquare feeds into one decent app.

Free Twitter goes back to its roots

Twitter, in a relatively short space of time, has managed to ingrain itself in pop culture more than any other website in the world. From celebs to national companies, the micro-blogging site is a speakers" corner for those who desire to have their say in just 140 characters or fewer.

The success of  TweetDeck on mobile is because Twitter is predominately a mobile site - the 140 character tweet limit is set as it is based on the same technology as an SMS message. So the app brings Twitter back to its roots.

To get the app up and running you need to sign in your Twitter account details. While Twitter is the app's predominate service you also have options for piping your Facebook, Buzz and Foursquare feeds.

If you have all feeds up and running, then a grey colour represents tweets from Twitter, purple for Facebook. brown for Buzz and blue for Foursquare. This is great for keeping abreast of more than one social network.

To simplify things you have three screens that you can go between with a finger flick. Flicking the screen right brings you on to any public messages directed to you
and right again for any direct personal messages.

At the bottom are clear icons to post messages (to any account), people you follow is next to it and there is also a search and location feature, which directs you straight to Google Maps - this is great for

The app is also available for desktops and will work seamlessly between the phone and computer.

Fourscuare as it enables you to see all geo-tagged friends on the map.

There are some problems: we sometimes had to force close it to update from our feeds aid it occasionally wouldn't update for hours. It is also difficult to see if someone has re-tweeted you and when you want to direct message somebody, it isn't clear if it is going to go just them or the rest of the world. But these problems are small fry compared to how the app works the majority of the time.
